About Duckridge Farm

Duckridge Farm is a home in Portland's West Hills with one of the state's largest private gardens.

Architect Jeff Miller began constructing the home and gardens for his retiring grandmother, Blanche, in the late 1970s. Many of the garden's fields, pathways, terraces, and trails were designed to accommodate Blanche's golf cart, the "Blanchemobile", so she could enjoy the cherry trees, Japanese maples, azaleas, roses, rhododendrons and more until the very end of her life.

Today Duckridge is still home to Blanche's descendents and host to countless guests throughout the year, who visit the garden to enjoy the fruits of a lifetime of effort and care from its creator.
